First Reader Books

These books are a resource for kindergarten and first grade teachers and students to learn about agriculture in Arizona. They were developed through partnerships with the Arizona Beef Council, Arizona Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom, the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, the National Ag in the Classroom Build-Up Grant, and the Arizona Foundation for Agricultural Literacy. Ranchers and Wildlife

The 5 FARMS Early Reader Books, including Ranchers and Wildlife, were developed through a partnership between the Arizona Farm Bureau and the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension to foster a love of reading and agriculture at an early age. A portion of the funding for this First Reader was provided by a National Ag in the Classroom Build-Up Grant and the Arizona Foundation for Agricultural Literacy.
