Congratulations to Deborrah Benard who won with her recipe for Ponzu Wasa Burgers.

Ponzu Wasa Burgers
  • 1 pound freshly ground chuck
  • 3 tbsp ponzu (look in the Asian food section)
  • 3 tbsp wasabi powder (look in the Asian food section)

Preheat oven to medium.

Heat pre-oiled cast iron skillet in oven.

While skillet heats, blend together all ingredients and form gently into 3 thick patties. Don't overwork the beef or the burgers will be tough!

Place patties into preheated skillet.

Return skillet to oven and DO NOT BOTHER for 5 minutes.

Flip burgers carefully, and return skillet to oven until burgers reach desired doneness.

Serve immediately.
