Spicy Portuguese Steak Kabobs

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak, cut 1-1/4" thick
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Seasoning:
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4-1/2 tsp crushed red pepper, optional

Preparation:
- Cut beef into 1-1/4" pieces.
- Combine seasoning ingredients and toss with beef.
- Thread beef and bell pepper alternately onto six 10" metal skewers.
- Place kabobs on grid over medium, ash-covered coals.
- Grill uncovered for 9-11 minutes to medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally.
- Season with salt, if desired.
Makes 6 servings. |

To Broil:
- Place kabobs on rack in broiler pan so surface is 3-4 inches from heat.
- Broil 9-12 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning once.
