As owner of the nationally renowned Chamberlain's Steak and Chop House, and culinary director at Envy Steakhouse in Las Vegas and Elk Mountain Resort near Tulleride, Colorado, Texas-born and -trained chef, Richard Chamberlain, knows beef. Richard's love affair with cooking began at a young age. Growing up in Texas with a father who loved making brisket, Richard and his trusty squirt gun would assist with the grilling. Now married with a family of his own, Chef Chamberlain has passed his love of cooking on to his two children. Prior to owning his own restaurants, Richard studied culinary arts at El Centro College in Dallas while simultaneously working at The Mansion on Turtle Creek. Following school, Richard served as executive chef of San Simeon Restaurant in Dallas before spending three years as the executive chef of the exclusive Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, Colorado, where he received national attention for pioneering American alpine cooking.
Chef Chamberlain continues to educate Americans on the culinary and nutritional benefits of lean beef by creating unique, great-tasting recipes. With a history of heart disease in his family, Richard maintains a strong commitment to health by serving on the board of the Dallas chapter of the American Heart Association. |
